Before first use

Before using the appliance for the first time, ensure that it is switched off and unplugged from the mains power supply. Clean the exterior surface of the Steam Generator Iron with a dry, soft, damp cloth. Note: Make sure the cloth is dry and clean, do not immerse with water or others liquid. A slight odour and small amount of smokmay be emitted during first usage. This consider normal.

Instructions for use

  1. Fill the water tank with clean, filtered water up to the MAX line. Using filtered water is important, as tap water containing dirt or sediments may cause the steam pump to clog and prevent steam production.
  2. Before operating the Steam Generator Iron, ensure it is
  3. EN: Check that the steam control is set to the “MIN” position.
  4. Switch on the appliance and set the temperature and steam button to the level corresponding to the desired temperature
  5. The power indicator light will turn on. During heating, the steam indicators on the control panel will flash. Once the appliance reaches the correct temperature, the indicator becomes steady. This process takes about 60 seconds and is controlled electronically.
  6. EN: Wait until the pilot light turns off, which indicates that the appliance has reached the proper temperature.
  7. Press and hold the steam button for 10 seconds. During use, the pilot light may flash again to indicate that the heating element is maintaining the temperature. Note: It is advised to use clean tap water instead of de-ionized water, as de-ionized water may affect internal sensors and cause the pump to operate incorrectly. Warning: Do not fill the water tank with hot water. Warning: Never add descaling agents, fragrances, alcohol, or detergent products into the appliance, as these may damage the device or make it unsafe for use.

Ironing with steam

For the first time usage, it is recommended to iron a plain cloth for testing purpose to make sure the Steam Generator Iron is working with correct temperature. Ensure that it is done without using the steam setting.

  1. Fill the water tank according to the instructions. (Important! Use Filtered Water)
  2. Plug in and press the Power button, then rotate the temperature control clockwise. Also rotate the steam output control clockwise: level 1 for dry iron, level 2 for moderate steam, and level 3 for maximum steam.
  3. To increase or decrease the temperature of the soleplate, rotate the temperature control clockwise or anticlockwise. The temperature indicator light will illuminate while heating and will switch off when the device is ready to use.
  4. Select the steam setting by pressing and holding the steam button. The steam setting can be switched off at any time by releasing the steam button.
  5. After use, rotate the temperature control to the ‘MIN’ position, turn back the steam output control, switch off the power button, and unplug the Steam Generator Iron from the mains.

The Steam Generator Iron must be set at a minimum 2-dot heat setting to produce steam. When not in use, ensure that it is rested on the base unit. Do not iron one particular area for long periods of time, as this will damage the fabric. The soleplate becomes very hot during use; do not touch it Warning: Keep the appliance away from flammable material. Warning: Danger of scalding. Caution: The appliance emits very hot steam; always exercise extreme caution during use.

Vertical steam ironing

  1. Hang up the item to be vertically steamed.
  2. Fill the water tank according to the instructions.
  3. Rotate the temperature control until a minimum 3-dot or max heat setting; the higher the temperature, the more powerful the steam. Rotate the steam output control clockwise and choose level 2 or 3 for vertical steaming and flat ironing.
  4. Holding the Steam Generator Iron approximately 5–10 cm away from the fabric, press and hold the steam button, or use the steam lock for continuous steaming

Hints and tips

  1. Always start on a lower heating setting and work up to a higher one whenever needed; it takes less time for the Steam Generator Iron to heat up than it does to cool down.
  2. It is advised that the steam button is used for short bursts rather than prolonged periods of time. This can prevent water dripping from the steam holes and can reduce the frequency of needing to refill the water tank.
  3. Before each use, check the care labels on the fabrics to be ironed so that the correct temperature setting is selected.

Care and maintenance

  • Before attempting any cleaning or maintenance, always unplug the Steam Generator Iron from the mains power supply and allow it to cool for approximately 30 minutes.
  • Drain the remaining water from the water tank to prevent it leaking during cleaning.
  • Wipe the Steam Generator Iron with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • To remove any build-up around the steam holes, use a cotton wool tip dampened with methylated spirits. Wipe off the methylated spirits with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • Do not immerse the Steam Generator Iron in water or any other liquid.

Self cleaning guide

  1. Fill the tank with approximately 1 liter of water (Don’t put vinegar, perfume or other descaling agents into the water tank.)
  2. Plug in the ironing system and set the temperature control to MIN and Steam Clean program.
  3. Hold the iron vertically over the sink and press the steam button for 1 minute to pump the water from the tank to the iron.
  4. Increase the iron’s temperature setting to number 2.
  5. Place the iron horizontally over the sink, keep pressing the steam button and gently rock the iron backwards and forwards for 1 minute.
  6. Unplug the ironing system from the mains supply and immediately rub the soleplate with a damp cotton cloth folded several times. (Never use scouring pads or chemicals.)
  • Repeat the cleaning process at least twice.
  • We recommend performing the process once a month to prolong the service life of the ironing system. If the water in your area is very hard or you notice limescale coming out through the soleplate during ironing, use this function more often.

Storage

  • Before storing the Steam Generator Iron, ensure that it has cooled and dried thoroughly.
  • Check that the water tank is empty before storing.
  • Clamp the cord and steam pipe in the base storage; never clamp it tightly as this could cause damage.
  • Position the Steam Generator Iron onto the rubber support of the base unit; this will help to prevent the nano ceramic soleplate from getting scratched.

Troubleshooting

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury, unplug the product from the mains power supply before troubleshooting.

ISSUES

CAUSE

SOLUTION

The Steam G e n e r a t o r Iron will not heat up

• The Steam Generator Iron is not connected to the mains power supply. • The temperature is set too low. • The fuse has blown.

• Plug in and switch on the Steam Generator Iron at the main power supply. • Increase the temperature using the temperature control dial, ensuring that the fabric’s care instructions are followed. • Replace the fuse with one of the same rating

Excess water is dripping from the nano ceramic soleplate

• This is condensation inside the nano ceramic soleplate.

• Allow the Steam Generator Iron to heat up to the selected temperature before using any steam function

ISSUES

CAUSE

SOLUTION

No steam is being emitted from the product

• There is insufficient water in the water tank. • The pump is still drawing water from the water tank. • Forget to adjust the steam output to 2-dot level or above.

• Fill the water tank following the instructions. • Check whether you have adjusted the steam output control. • Press and hold the steam button a while longer to allow the water to pump into the Steam Generator Iron; this should take approximately 1 minute.

The hose makes a buzzing noise

• The hose is tangled when the Steam Generator Iron is higher than the base unit.

• Untangle the hose and ensure the Steam Generator Iron is used above the base unit.

The temperature indicator light does not illuminate

• The fuse has blown. • The Steam Generator Iron is not connected to the mains power supply; check the power button and plug

• Replace the fuse with the same rating type. • Plug in and rotate the temperature control clockwise on the Steam Generator Iron at the mains power supply
