Divide juicer cleaning into four tasks: make the appliance safe, remove residues, wash the permitted components and dry them before assembly. Fresh pulp is usually easier to deal with than dried residue, but dismantling must wait until moving parts stop completely. Prompt cleaning should never mean reaching a moving filter or wetting the motor base.
Which SJE-8230D components are involved?
The SJE-8230D juicer lists a stainless steel filter and blade, a one-litre jug, a 2.4-litre pulp container, an 85 mm feed opening, a digital display and removable components. These identify the relevant areas. An easy-clean description does not establish dishwasher permission, a particular detergent or permission to soak every component.

From a complete stop to safe dismantling
After juicing, switch off as instructed and unplug. Wait until moving components stop completely; a dark display alone is not permission to open the appliance immediately. Prepare a clean, dry place for parts and follow the exact model sequence for releasing the lock, cover and filter.
Empty the jug and pulp container carefully before moving them. Keep juice and wash water away from the dial, display and underside of the base. If a component will not release, do not twist it forcibly or use a tool as a lever. Check the removal sequence again. Hold the filter assembly only by the designated handling area and keep fingers away from cutting surfaces.
A component-by-component cleaning checklist
Component | Main task | Check before assembly |
|---|---|---|
Jug and pulp container | Empty residues and wash by the permitted method | Clean corners and complete drying |
Cover and pusher | Remove accessible particles without stressing fittings | Intact edges and connection areas |
Filter and blade assembly | Clean gently with the permitted tool, away from cutting edges | No visible blockage, cracks or deformation |
Motor base and controls | Surface care as instructed, without immersion or direct water | Dry exterior and placement area |
Component seating areas | Remove accessible residue with the appliance made safe | Correct seating without force |
Clean the filter gently and inspect it
Collect removable residue before it dries. Use the washing method and soft brush permitted for the mesh, without pressing hard. Do not clear holes with a needle or metal tool, or speed the job with a scouring pad. If soaking is needed, confirm permission and conditions for that component. Do not select homemade mixtures or strong chemicals by guesswork.
After cleaning, inspect for visible residue, cracks or distortion. A clean appearance does not make a damaged part sound. Do not straighten a defective filter by force or substitute a similar-looking part from another model. Match the appliance code and replacement compatibility with service support.
Dry and assemble for the next session
Dry washed components in a clean, suitable place, including moisture hidden around rims and connection points. The base and work surface must be dry before assembly. Refit components in the specified order, without forcing a lock or lid to compensate for incorrect fitting.
Do not stack damp parts inside a closed compartment for storage. Keep the containers and pusher together so that they are not lost or confused with accessories from another appliance. Running the machine empty is not a substitute for checking assembly; use the model-approved test and start-up procedure.
If output has changed even after cleaning
Wetter pulp or less juice does not alone prove a motor fault. Check ingredient type and preparation, approved feeding, filter cleanliness and correct fitting separately. Compare the same fruit type and a similar permitted quantity. Stop for abnormal vibration, unusual noise, breakage or leakage into electrical areas and report the issue with the model code.
