Start an SFP-800 food processor task with the result you want: chopping, grating, cutting strips or blending. Next choose the appropriate container and tool, then assemble with the appliance unplugged. This sequence avoids unnecessary part changes and selecting a speed before the assembly is ready.
Match the container and tool to the task
The SFP-800 digital food processor page lists a 3.5-litre bowl, 1.8-litre jug, chopping blade, four grating options, two strip-cutting sizes, mixing and dough tools, a grinder, continuous speed control, pulse and a safety switch. Eleven listed functions mean learning the right assembly for each job; one tool does not replace every attachment.

Choose the assembly before putting parts together
Task | Assembly to identify | Check before starting |
|---|---|---|
Chopping | Processor bowl and chopping blade | Ingredient type, initial piece size and fill limit |
Grating or cutting strips | Bowl, shaft and disc for the required cut | Disc orientation and feeding with the pusher |
Blending | Jug and compatible blade assembly | Permitted ingredients, liquid limit and lid closure |
Mixing or kneading | Tool intended for that task | Allowed mixture, quantity and operating duration |
Grinding | Grinding container and tool | Ingredient type and dry-use or batch limits |
Use this table to find the right part of the instructions, not as a substitute for an assembly diagram. A function name does not establish permission to process every hard ingredient, hot liquid or type of dough. Match the package contents and the connection design for the exact product code to the relevant instructions.
Check the bowl and lid assembly
Place the appliance on a stable, dry surface and unplug before handling parts. Choose the bowl, shaft and tool specified for your task. Hold the safe part of each component while following the required order and orientation. Do not grip a blade or grating disc by its cutting edge.
After positioning the internal components, check the lid and bowl connection against the markings and direction shown in the instructions. Do not solve a crooked fit or unusual resistance by applying more force. The safety switch listed for the SFP-800 does not replace this inspection or permit testing with an incomplete lid assembly.
The following Swiss Plus tutorial covers correct container placement on the related food processors. Match the precise lock and part shape to the SFP-800 instructions.
After assembly: continuous control or pulse?
Once the assembly is ready, select the control suited to the task. Pulse can support working in stages and reviewing texture between short runs, while continuous control lets you regulate an ongoing process. Read the activation method and permitted work and rest limits for that function rather than guessing from a symbol on the dial.
For a useful comparison, keep the ingredient type, quantity and initial size similar. Review changes in texture progressively if you want a coarser or finer result. Before using a spoon inside the container or changing a tool, allow moving parts to stop completely and unplug. Do not put a hand or implement into a moving assembly.

The video for this exact model demonstrates its operating modes. Use it to understand the controls and check ingredient and quantity limits in the product instructions.
Change tools and put parts away after use
Reducing the speed is not enough when changing from the chopping assembly to a disc or jug. Stop and unplug as instructed, then remove the component by its approved method. Store cutting tools separately with appropriate edge protection. Check the washing instructions for each container and attachment, and do not immerse the motor housing in water.
If a part is stuck or damaged, or the appliance still will not operate after correct assembly, describe the situation and model code to after-sales service support. Before obtaining a replacement, review the accessory compatibility guide. Similar appearance does not establish compatibility.
To choose the appliance type, read the food processor versus blender and grinder comparison and check individual models in the Swiss Plus food processor category.
