To connect a smart TV to Wi-Fi, first select the correct network and enter its password. Then check actual internet access separately. Seeing the router name or a connected symbol does not guarantee that every online app will open. This guide separates finding a network, joining it and reaching the internet so that the next check is useful.
Before you start: prepare the network name and password
Have the exact home network name and its current password ready. If the router broadcasts several names, select the network you are authorised to use. Check uppercase and lowercase letters, accidental spaces and the on-screen keyboard language when entering the password. Do not include a Wi-Fi password in a public error screenshot or support post.
The 43-inch 43SST-8610KI6 television lists Android 13, Wi-Fi and a LAN port. These specifications establish two connection options. They do not establish supported wireless bands, network speed or the precise menu labels in the installed software version.

Connect the TV to your wireless network
Use the remote to open TV settings and locate the network or internet section. Its name and position may vary with the interface version. Enable Wi-Fi, allow the network list to appear and select your network name. Enter the password carefully and wait for the connection result. Repeatedly selecting the same network without reading the result makes it harder to identify the failed stage.
Once connected, open an online app available to you and test content you are entitled to access. If the router password has changed, update the saved TV connection with the new password according to its instructions. This does not require resetting every TV setting or reducing the router security.
Swiss Plus TV internet connection video
The related site tutorial below covers internet connection for Swiss Plus televisions. Compare the menus shown with the software version installed on your device.
Troubleshooting table: which stage is failing?
What happens | First check | Useful test |
|---|---|---|
The network name is missing | Wi-Fi is enabled and the exact name is correct | Check whether another device sees the same network near the TV |
The password is rejected | Current password, letter case and keyboard language | Retry without extra spaces and check for a recent password change |
Network connected, no internet | Router internet access | Test another device on the same Wi-Fi with mobile data off |
Only one app will not open | Account, service availability and app status | Try another online app or item of content |
The connection repeatedly drops | Wireless conditions and router position | Record when it drops and compare LAN if practical |
Separate network access, internet access and app issues
If another device on the same network also has no internet, the router connection and subscription need attention first. If only the TV has a problem, read its selected network name and status message again. When testing with a phone, disable mobile data so that the result actually reflects the home Wi-Fi connection. This does not provide a definitive fault diagnosis, but it narrows the next check.
If only one app fails, do not immediately conclude that the TV has lost internet access. Check service availability, account sign-in and permitted content access separately. Before clearing app data or resetting the device, read the error message and that service support guidance: those actions can change saved settings and sign-ins.
Try LAN where practical and prepare support information
If suitable cabling is available, the LAN port listed for this model gives you a wired option to investigate. Connect a router LAN port to the TV LAN port following both devices instructions, then check wired connection status. A successful test does not prove that every Wi-Fi component is faulty; it shows that the wired path worked under those conditions.
If the problem remains, prepare the model code, error text, connection method and result from the second device for after-sales service support. To display a laptop image without relying on a wireless connection, see the laptop-to-TV HDMI guide.
